LeBron James had a game high 28 points as the Miami Heat traveled to Cleveland and beat the Cavaliers 111-87.
Miami jumped out to a 35-14 first-quarter lead and was never troubled as James returned to play his old team in front of a fired-up crowd that has not forgiven his decision to leave. Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh combined for 38 and Mario Chalmers added 14 including four 3-pointers as the Heat picked up their fifth straight.
By contrast the Charlotte Bobcats won their fourth all season with a 98-91 victory against the Toronto Raptors at the Air Canada Centre. Reggie Williams led Charlotte with 22 points and Kemba Walker came off the bench to add 14 more as the Bobcats snapped their 16-game losing streak.
Dwight Howard and Ryan Anderson were in fine form down in Orlando as the Magic beat the Milwaukee Bucks 94-85. Howard grabbed 20 rebounds to go with 26 points while Anderson chipped in with 23 points of his own.
The Heat are 1.71 to win the Eastern Conference while the Cavaliers are 6001.00 and the Magic are 5001.00.
