Ponting: No time to dwell on defeat

Stand-in Australian captain Ricky Ponting has told his players not to think too much about their disappointing eight-wicket defeat against Sri Lanka and try to divert all their energies on the upcoming clash with India.
The home team won the toss and decided to bat first on Friday but none of the Aussie batsmen were able to hang in for much longer, apart from Mike Hussey. The veteran batsman scored 58 from just 64 deliveries and stopped his team's slide a little bit. But the target proved too easy for the Sri Lankans, who got home with a massive 101 balls to spare.

The bottom line is we're going to have to move on pretty quick.

Australia are 4/6 to get the win in their upcoming ODI match against India, who themselves are 6/5 to emerge victorious.
In the post-match interview, Ponting said: "It's a disappointing day for the team. We needed to bounce back pretty strongly from our last performance, we trained really strongly yesterday and I had a really good feeling going into the game that we'd be able to get some momentum going in this one-day series again and we just had a really poor day, bat, ball and in the field.
"No doubt we'll have a chat about it as a group but the bottom line is we're going to have to move on pretty quick. We know we travel on Saturday and play again on Sunday against a good Indian team so we just have to learn whatever we can from the game tonight and move on pretty quickly."
