NSW chief hits out at Blues

After watching New South Wales suffer one of the heaviest losses in the Sheffield Shield history, Cricket NSW's chief executive Dave Gilbert lashed out at the Blues players and accused them of playing for their personal benefits rather than for the team.
In a match to forget, captain Stephen O'Keefe's men got completely dominated by the Warriors and ended up losing by an innings and 323 runs at the WACA.
South Australia are 10/11 to get the win in the Ryobi Cup final against Tasmania, who themselves are 10/11 to emerge victorious.
Both of the Blues' Ryobi Cup and Sheffield Shield campaigns have been extremely poor and their latest defeat was the lowest point of their 2011/12 season.
The star-studded team's big name players such as Brad Haddin and Shane Watson failed to do what was expected from them.
Gilbert believes that their minds were on winning their places back in the Australian squad and helping NSW was not their main priority.
Speaking in an interview with Sportal, Gilbert said: "It's a clear case of the curse of the rep players. When you are in and out of the Australian team it can fry your mind and clearly we didn't manage that. Eight of the 11 players in that side have played for Australia and it's obvious that minds were elsewhere. Too many weren't concentrating on the next ball but were instead worrying about what the future held for them."
