Doherty sees room for improvement

Australian spinner Xavier Doherty says that even though his team has started the Commonwealth Bank Series well, they still need to improve certain aspects of their game.
The hosts have won both of their first two games against India and Sri Lanka respectively and sit hat the top of the table with nine points.
Australia are 1/2 to defeat India in the fourth ODI match. The tourists themselves are 13/8 to get the win.
According to Doherty, the Australian players are content with how they have fared so far in the triangular series but they still have a desire to improve their game even more.
He said that the slim nature of their win over Sri Lanka in their last match was a clear sign that they still have a lot of work to do before declaring themselves as the finished product.
"We picked out a few things that we really need to improve on but to get the result and to bowl the way we did we're pretty happy with. We really need one of our top order to go on and get a big score, that'll get us up to a really competitive total. You're not going to win every game with 230 so that was a key issue," Doherty said.
"And then to take our foot off the accelerator late in the game, like we probably have done before, was just another thing that we didn't quite nail. But, like I said, to get the result that we wanted was great and no damage done."
